Kimberly “Brook” Tuohey, a C2 Systems Network Engineer, was recognized as the Mobius Employee of the Quarter for the third Quarter of 2011 for her steadfast devotion to Mobius’ Shared Values at a ceremony held at MISTC East, Camp Johnson, North Carolina on November 17, 2011.
Brook served in the Navy as a Cryptologist Maintenance Technician until July 2005. After working for Cubic, she joined the Mobius team in May 2010. As the C2 Systems Network Engineer, Brook is the sole provider of IT support for MISTC East classrooms, classroom instruction staff, Marines, government employees, and contractors during periods of instruction and exercises. She is responsible for maintenance and accountability of over $110,000 worth of equipment in the MISTC East network inventory. She also oversees the re-imaging of all the MISTC East classified (SIPRNET) computers. Brook’s inexhaustible effort provides a secure, safe, and stable network that enables the sharing of information throughout the facility. During the hurricane season and recent tornado, she endeavored to make sure all servers and switches were powered down to ensure they were not damaged by any power spikes or fluctuations. Due to her tireless efforts not a single server or switch was damaged and MISTC East was able to continue to train the Marines of II MEF in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and numerous other operations throughout the globe.
Brook met with the Director of MISTC East and coordinated the movement, and reorganization, of all classes and classrooms during major renovations to their buildings. She made maximum use of the minimal space available, due to renovations, by setting up a CLC2S class within the SharePoint classroom.
Brook’s conduct, behavior, and actions are tone-setting. She is remarkably dedicated to improving herself and others. This coupled with her overall contributions toward mission success and Mobius’ Shared Values has made her an integral member of the Mobius team.
